Politics Are Now in Play

January 23, 2026

Good news!  Event Helper has expanded its event offering to include certain political events!

What’s Eligible

We’re currently accepting non-contentious political events (no expected opposition), such as:

  • Invite-only campaign fundraisers
  • Organizational or committee meetings
  • Campaign announcements
  • Closed campaign or volunteer events
  • Voter registration booths at non-political events

(Events involving public demonstrations, rallies, protests, town hall meetings, debates, or events with an expectation of opposition are not eligible at this time.)

It is important to note that these events require additional underwriting and cannot be bound instantly online.  Once an event organizer selects a political class code or checks “yes” to "Will your event(s) be a political event, activist event, protest, rally, or march?” our underwriting team will review the event details and respond promptly (generally in a couple of hours during normal business hours) with next steps. It is important to provide as much detail as possible about the event, including a link to a website or social media post whenever possible

Why This Matters

Given the current climate, political events have become increasingly tough to insure.  This expansion allows us to better serve our customers hosting smaller-scale, private political functions.
