Built in 1925, Glendale's historic Alex Theatre is a 1,381 seat all-purpose venue ideal for concerts, theatre, dance, comedy, film screenings, location shoots, cast & crew screenings, wrap parties, receptions, awards shows, and special events. The theatre's iconic 100-foot tall Art Deco neon tower, topped with a glowing starburst, and outdoor forecourt lead into the spectacularly restored auditorium replete with Greek and Egyptian motifs.
The 1,413 seat Alex Theatre is available to rent for performances, benefit concerts, dance and music recitals, business and corporate meetings, film premieres and screenings, civic gatherings, and commercial, television, and film shoots. Alex Theatre Base Rental Rates Include: ? Use of theatre from 7:00 a.m. of rental day until 1:00 a.m. of the following day. ? Use of theatre’s in-house sound and lighting systems and equipment. ? Front of house staff (ushers and ticket takers on performance days) ? Box office labor charges for normal hours of operation. ? Event listing on the Alex Theatre web site, in the monthly eNewsletter, and on the marquee (see Marquee Policy) ? Porter service. Nonprofit Rates: To qualify for nonprofit rates an organization must provide the Alex Theatre with a copy of its Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) Acceptance Letter 1045. Special Event General Liability Insurance may be required. |
